Update Detector is a Windows based system utility that enables you to keep the programs installed on your computer up to date. It is easy to use, and doesn't require any knowledge or experience regarding system maintenance whatsoever.
After being installed, the application runs in system tray and does not provide its users with a graphic interface. It works like a scanner, looking for any installed programs onto your computer, and sends the information it gathers to the Filepume.com website. It then searches for updates available for any program you have installed, and gathers them in a list from which you can pick them.
Once I'd installed it, the program noticed me right away that it had detected nine available updates for some of the programs that I have installed onto my PC. I was surprised in a pleasant way, because it scanned my system pretty fast, right before I rolled the program, and I didn't even felt like taking any of the system resources. Every time Update Detector finds any available update for your software, it pops-up a notification message. If you click on the balloon, the program directs you to Filepuma.com, where all the available updates are displayed in a list. From there, you can choose whether to install them or not.
Although it does not have a visual interface, it still provides a "Settings" window, where you can set the way you want the application to start, or the intervals when it starts scanning your system.
This mini-application can be helpful for any type of user, allowing you to stay in touch with the latest updates and releases for the programs you have onto your PC.
Find updates for all the software applications installed on your computer.
